The ODIN PASS app operates independently from the goCard ticketing system. Users directly book public transport trips in the ODIN PASS app. Users do not use their goCard when subscribed to the ODIN PASS scheme.
1. Plan Your Trip
To begin the trip planning process, enter your destination in the search bar on the ODIN PASS home screen and select the correct destination out of the returned search options.
Next, select your departure (from) location when prompted.
ODIN PASS will then search for different combinations of transport options to get you to your destination.
If you are getting results that do not include your normal transport stop / service, try changing your origin (from location) to your normal stop / station, instead of using 'current location'. If you are still not seeing the results you want, remember the ODIN PASS public transport ticket is valid for ANY service travelling in the same direction between your booked origin to your booked destination. Therefore you can get on an earlier/later service, and still use the same ticket. The ticket will not expire until 2 hours after the estimated arrival of your booked trip.
Change your from / start location
If you need to change the from location (starting point) of your route search, tap the "from" location (in purple) under your selected destination. You can then edit the starting point, and search for a new set of transport options.
Change your departure / arrival time, and filter transport modes
Once your starting location and destination have been selected, tapping the 'leave now' button will allow you to alter your departure time. The 'Transport button' will also allow you to specify your preferred means of transport for the trip. Your default transport options while searching will match your accounts preferred transport methods.
2. Choose Your Preferred Option
After scrolling through the list of transport options, tap your preferred option. This will bring you to a summary view of the chosen option. This window includes real-time information of transport services (including real-time location shown on the map), and transport price estimates (where applicable).
By swiping left and right, you can also see detailed views of other trip options from the previous list. This summary view window also allows you to save regular trips by click "Add to favourites" and you can share the trip with friends and family. Once you are satisfied that you have chosen the best option for your trip, click the 'Go' button in the top left of the screen.
3. Book Your Trip (Mode-by-Mode)
By clicking 'Go' you have now entered what we call the 'mode-by-mode' screen. This screen provides specific details about each step of your trip, with a summary provided at the top.
As shown in the example below, the first step in the trip is to walk to Bus Stop 216 on Ann Street. By swiping to the left you can progress through each step (transport mode) in your chosen option.
In the example below, the next step is to take Bus 125 to Cultural Centre station. The window shows real-time arrival times, with the next bus coming in 5 minutes.
There's no need to worry though, if you don't think you will make it to the bus stop in time, by scrolling down you can see the real-time arrival times of the next buses coming to that bus stop.
If another public transport service was to come to the stop before the service that you were waiting for, as long as it is travelling in the same direction, towards the same direction, you can click the 'Book' button and have a valid ticket. This is because our public transport tickets are specific to the start and end points of the trip, not the specific public transport service (route) you take to get there.
As the service arrives, you should click 'Book', and the your screen will then show a 'Show ticket' button.
If you are found to be repeatedly booking trips for services you have no intention of using, you may be removed from the service for violating our End User Licence Agreement, and forfeit your monthly pass, at the absolute discretion of ODIN PASS.

If it is safe to do so, as you board the service you should show your booked public transport ticket to the driver/operator. This will look similar to below.
As mentioned previously, the ticket is valid for all services operating between the starting point and destination, at the time that it has been booked. The ticket will remain valid for travel in the same direction for up to two hours after the planned arrival time for the booked service. This allows for potential delays and/or disruptions on the transport network.

Once you have boarded the service, you can return to the 'mode-by-mode' screen and swipe left to see the stops for the service on the way to your next step in the journey. In this case there is an interchange at Cultural Centre station.
