Sustainable transport solutions are an important part of The University of Queensland’s (UQ's) vision. UQ is actively exploring opportunities to support mobility innovation that can improve the daily lives of staff and students. To this end, UQ, in partnership with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and iMOVE, are supporting the deployment of ODIN PASS as a real-world Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) trial.

The primary aims of this trial are:

  1. To further increase public and active transport patronage, and in turn, reduce private vehicle usage - particularly single-occupant trips – to/from UQ’s St Lucia Campus.
  2. To improve intra-campus mobility across the 114-hectare site at UQ St Lucia, and inter-campus mobility (Long Pocket, PACE, Herston, etc).
  3. To trial fixed-cost mobility plans and evaluate if this alternative form of transport pricing can incentivise the use of public, shared and active transport.
  4. To gain further insight into the feasibility of deploying MaaS in Australia more broadly.

Your participation in the program will help to shape the future of transport across Queensland, Australia and internationally.
