Using public transport

Follow TransLink's guidance on how to play your part when travelling using public transport.

Where it is safe to do so, please show the driver your digital ticket issued via ODIN PASS. If it is not safe to do so, please simply wave your phone at the driver, and take a seat safely. As long as you have booked a valid ticket you will not receive a fine. Driver's cannot issue fines, and should call Translink officers if they have any questions about the ODIN PASS trial. If you have any questions you can read our guide here, feel free to contact us and we will assist you.

When travelling on public transport, please remember to:

  • wear a mask
  • leave a gap between you and others
  • follow TransLink's COVID-safe plan.

You can be issued a $200 fine if you refuse to wear a face mask without a lawful reason or excuse.

Face masks are mandatory when travelling on public transport, as per the Queensland Health directive.

To keep up to date with the latest government advice, please review the Queensland's Government's COVID-19 update.

Remember to treat TransLink staff and your fellow travellers with respect - be safe, be cool, be kind - we're all in this together.
